Cultural Body Modifications

         People who are not aware of the different cultures around the world might jump to judgment when they see certain body modifications that they perform; however, these cultures enforce these body modifications on their tribal members, they are not optional. People who do not transform their body the way they are told face serious consequences within their tribes.

Body Modification is defined as deliberately altering one's physical appearance. In specific cultures they enforce body modifications such as neck rings, lip plates, San Yak tattoos, nose plugs, and scarification.

            The purpose of this blog is to educate people on different cultural body modifications so that they do not pass judgement or question why they modify their bodies the way that they do.
